The arch trend translates into many different decor styles, from colourful and modern to monochrome and classic, from cheap and cheerful to all out luxurious. In this 85.5 square metre home concept for the "Yasnyi" Apartment complex in Moscow, it’s all gone sublimely high-end. Bureau Slovo have utilised the graceful archway theme to bring bold beauty to this interior concept, through chic rounded wall mouldings, darkly colour blocked arched doorways and a myriad of shape matched accessories. The home is an elegant and peaceful haven awash with neutral tones, alongside soft muted green accents to enhance and uplift the main living spaces and an inspirational kids room with a play loft.
Entering this tour at the tasteful living room, we can see how it's not only the common colour palette that brings stylish unity to the layout but the prominent arch theme too. Rounded wall mouldings stretch regular windows up to the rafters in one impressive swoop. A black racetrack coffee table takes the curved motif to the floor.
An angular area rug counteracts the curves in the space. An elevated plant stand keeps the border of the chevron floor looking open and spacious.
A Tom Ford coffee table book makes a colour coordinated addition to the modern coffee table.
Whilst the light stone colour sofa melds with the window wall, a green accent chair adds a fresh pop of natural colour to the room.
The green chair upholstery is complemented by indoor plants on the modern bookcase behind, where a classic Eames bird roosts.
After a long search for the perfect dining table, the design team decided to create a bespoke piece.
SIx stylish dining chairs add a thread of muted green around the rounded rectangle dining table.
A dried botanical arrangement and a ceramic decorative vase make up a light and textured table centrepiece. See more beautiful options for a water carafe and glass tumblers here.
A racetrack or oval dining table would have made a smooth match for the arched decor scheme, but the rounded rectangle makes a less predictable solution.
Twin dining room pendant lights pair up to illuminate the length of the bespoke table. A one wall kitchen stretches out behind the dining area in a chic two-tone finish. A gorgeous black and white marble backsplash poses as an eye-catching feature for the whole living room.
The archway that leads from the home entryway into the living room has been accentuated with an ebony finish.
The striking doorway boldly chimes the tone for the modish decor scheme right from the front door.
A black arched mirror echoes the feature doorway.
A racetrack bench with an integrated entryway table is buddied up with the mirror to fashion a functional area for dressing in coats & shoes and collecting keys.
Inside the master bedroom, a modern wall sconce adds a shimmer of brass at each bedside. A flower-inspired modern chandelier by designer Sofie Refer comes from the same collection as the dining room pendant lights.
A simple black bedside table holds only books and a night time drinking glass at either side of the grey bedstead. A warm oak veneer headboard feature wall contrasts with the cooler finishes.
Golden accents dapple the bedroom rug like sunlight over water.
A monochrome throw translates the chevron pattern of the floor into the textile.
Soft grey drapes hang from a concealed rail behind the rounded cornice, to direct the eye to the impressive height of the room. The walls, ceiling and minimalist cornice are painted in one colour for a smooth flowing visual.
The elongated bedroom plan presented the opportunity to create a spacious dressing room, set behind glass partitions.
As well as the glass partition, a 380mm tall threshold zones the dressing room from the lower bed area.
The arched concept is observable right away inside the dressing room, not only in the glass partition but in a unique arched cutaway between two chests of drawers.
The archway contains a full length mirror for the walk in wardrobe.
In the bathroom, the vanity mirror establishes continuation of the curved concept.
Wide-format porcelain stoneware tiles clad the luxe interior. Veneered panels bring the warmth of oak into the light scheme, to build a sense of comfort.
A unique, arched motif stool design was developed for under the bathroom sink.
Brass plumbing fixtures add warm lustre.
The small stool can also be used as a side table by the bathtub.
In the kid’s room, the green arched headboard of a platform bed bounces across the horizon like a row of hills in a child’s book. A cluster of bedroom pendant lights float away like hot air balloons.
Oval niches have been fashioned into the closet design to display a selection of small toys and children's books.
The tall ceiling height presented a fun opportunity to designing a play loft inside the kid’s bedroom.
The arch design element shapes the staircase railings. A round round rug keeps the curves coming.
The space saving staircase design provides a huge amount of storage, with toy bins alternating from side to side with every step.
A kid’s desk area tucks comfortably underneath the loft.
Two stylish kids' chairs furnish the double workspace, which is joined by a useful pegboard wall on one side. Moveable floating shelves provide homes for matching white planters and a family of cacti.
A black wall sconce contrasts darkly with the wooden pegboard.
memorabilia fills the desk and a set of built-in bookshelves.
