Here is a mind boggling piece of space saving wizardry by Hong Kong based architect Gary Chang that helped him transform a tiny cramped apartment into something really special. With the use of accordion-like wall units, he is able to create at least 24 different room configurations out of his 344 sq. ft apartment. Gary calls the house a 'Domestic Transformer'. The futuristic sliding wall mechanism he devised virtually enables the interiors to change to different forms to suite different purposes. Check the video out. Images courtesy of the NY Times.
