Once in a while we come across ideas irrelevant to interior designing but interesting enough to be poeted here. These fake shop fronts are cool to look at. When you are not selling, you pretend to. No one can know the difference. Thats what the recession hit North Tyneside Council has adopted as its slogan. In its effort to support the businesses of the people on Whitley Bay, the council has come up with the idea of putting up fake shop fronts! The idea is to help other shops survive by putting up an aesthetically pleasing high street look for everyone to see. Not sure whether these facades can lure buyers, but it does look like an unconventional approach to a worrying problem. Via
