Today, the 31rst of May, is observed as World No Tobacco day around the world and it was created by the World Health Organization(WHO) to spread awareness of the harmful health effects of tobacco which lead to 5.4 million deaths worldwide annually. We won't pretend to be a health blog, but we believe that besides tobacco's adverse health effects, it has serious detrimental effects on the atmosphere within a home. The quality of air comes down and the resultant toxins produced can make the air very uncomfortable to breath. Today, we would like to feature a few interesting items that send a message to excessive smokers. Hopefully this should inspire some of them to consider quitting!
The burial scene should make any smoker think twice before puffing away! This was designed by the Indian firm, Everest Branding Solutions for client Cancer Patients Aid Association(CPAA).
Probably this should encourage them to stop with one? Designed by Industrial.
Designed for the Singapore Cancer Society, this ash tray tries to put into perspective what the smoker is doing to his lungs.
Though just a concept by designer Anthony Voz, here is another ashtray that sends a not-so-subtle message. It is designed to weigh the amount of ash placed inside and give you an accurate indication of how much your smoking habits have brought you closer to death. It uses an internal weighing system that uses a microchip and an LCD display.
Clocks like these are another convenient space to put up that sign. Via Cafepress
Cigarette bed. This should be easy.
If you have a friend, boss, parent or someone you care for who you want to encourage to quit smoking, we welcome you to share this post.
