Designed by Richard Sapper in 1972, the Tizio lamp looks like a modernist sculpture. This iconic piece uses a clever mechanism of counterweights to allow lamp adjustments without the use of a tightening knob or fastener. The arms safely and discretely conduct electricity as well, which means the power cord need only extend to the base of the lamp.
