This interesting home, with incredible sea views from the front of the building and woodland views over the pool, is the La Boyita House located in Punta del Este, Uruguay. Argentinian firm Estudio Martin Gomez Arquitectos designed the property in 2009, placing a huge amount of emphasis on outdoor living and entertaining areas, and striking contemporary style.
A predominantly glass façade, to allow complete appreciation of the spectacular nature panorama, is flanked by wood paneled sections, which are complemented by extensive decking areas and timber stepping stones over the landscape. The manmade pathway sweeps out, towards an annex, from a four-poster day bed at the edge of the sundeck where a further padded platform protrudes over the edge of a bright blue swimming pool with integrated Jacuzzi.
Just outside of the houses huge glass doors, an exterior lounge room and fully-fledged dining area runs the entire length of the building. The outside living spaces are met at either end by their own external fireplaces, situated at the base of two towering stone chimneys, to allow social gatherings to continue long into the night despite the chill of the evening sea breeze.
